Vikramjit Singh Rooprai
Vikramjit Singh Rooprai is one of the critically acclaimed Heritage Activist, promoting heritage and culture from past 8 years. He developed special programs for educators and students, which will help them to get inspired from incidents and developments in past and prepare for a better future. Being a subject matter expert, he is associated with many government and non-government bodies.
Vikramjit started his career as a Software Engineer and reached the level of top management in less than a decade. He designed solutions for brands like Samsung, Coke, Pepsi, HP, Apollo, Nestle, Airtel, Microsoft and many more. His work left him with 25+ awards, including two International mentions. His 14 years of IT career inspired him to develop techniques to study history through modern day technology. Vikramjit headed India and Asia-Pacific offices of different companies, managing their Digital Marketing and Software divisions.
Since 2009, Vikramjit has been working to promote heritage through his initiatives. He established India’s largest Heritage-Hobby club, ‘The Heritage Photography Club’. He is also the founder of ‘Youth for Heritage Foundation’, which is dedicated to bring culture closer to next generation.
Most recent initiative of Vikramjit is Heritageshaala, where his team, with a combined experience of over 50 years developed special programs for Corporate, Teachers and Students, that can empower them to learn various management, curriculum & co-curriculum topics through events from history. Architecture, Historic incidents, Language, Food and culture is closely observed to find patterns, that match with modern day events. Heritage Labs are setup in schools & colleges to perform various research experiments, to teach Chemistry, Physics, Astronomy, Mathematics, Social Sciences and Art through history. His corporate workshops help top management to take better decisions in the fields of Human Resources and Team Management.
Vikramjit has been featured by all major News channels and Newspapers in India. He was listed by India Today Magazine in their annual feature celebrating all changemakers of Delhi. Hindustan Times ranked his portal on Delhi’s monuments and his Twitter handle in top 10 sources of Delhi’s Heritage. Times Now and Economic times titled him as a Good Crusader and featured him in their series of Whistle-blowers.
